Not so great however is an insidious scourge creeping slowly but surely into our magnificent code.

Players with their socks down.

Not a little bit, not half mast.
But all the way down!!!
Why in heavens name has the league allowed this undisciplined and wayward act to go unchecked in recent years?
Check through any champion players kit bag in days gone by and what you'd find is the first thing they packed was a pair of garters.
And they didn't have to be fancy hat elastic; an old pair of boot laces would do the trick!
So don't talk cost and bottom line to me!
Come on Andrew, what sort of message is the league sending to the youngsters today?
You've assembled a good young group of hard working people around you who can make a difference.
Prioritise.
Let the footballing community know the league is concerned with the big issues and you intend to jolly well tackle them head on.
Pull your socks up league.
