The Rules for Car Cricket
As provided by 'Mark from Perth'

All you need to play the game is two people in a car and some traffic. Once you have determined who is batting (in the normal manner), runs and wickets are accrued by the nature of vehicles passing in the opposite direction:

Runs are accumulated as follows:

A sedan = 1 run
A station wagon = 2 runs
A van, 4WD or ute = 3 runs
A non-articulated truck = 4 runs
A semi-trailer = 6 runs
A motorcycle = 1 extra
A trailer = 1 overthrow
A trailer with something on it = the # overthrows corresponding to the nature of the vehicle on the trailer

Wickets work this way:

A normal-sized bus = a wicket

A smallish bus (or minibus) = an LBW appeal. The decision is determined by the colour of the vehicle following the bus - a white vehicle is "not out" and any other colour is a wicket.

A double-decker bus or large tour coach = a third umpire decision. The decision is determined in the same manner as an LBW appeal except that you take the tenth vehicle behind the bus (in order to simulate the time delay involved).

This game only applies to vehicles that are actually moving at the time that you go past them. A bus that has stopped at a bus stop therefore becomes a wicket off a no-ball.

Now, obviously the driver has home-ground advantage, as he is able to deliberately drive down streets in which he knows that he will or won't find buses as the case may be. This is considered unsporting, but within the rules.
